Aquaculture and Vegetable Research Facility, University of Sydney, Cobbitty Campus

Hawes and Swan Planning provided detailed planning advice from inception through to the lodgement of DA which proposed the expansion of the existing aquaculture and vegetable research facility at the University of Sydney, Cobbitty Campus which houses its plant breeding institute. Specifically, the development proposed the construction of glasshouse with a footprint of over 2ha, ancillary buildings and structures and key support infrastructure.

The primary role of Hawes and Swan was to select and project manage the required consultants (10 in total) and the formulation of the development from initial concept through to final completion for DA lodgement. This involved Pre DA meetings with Council, consultant briefings, finalisation of detailed design and the preparation of the Statement of Environmental Effects to support the development.
